The children have settled in well after the Christmas holiday and it has been lovely to get to know them all. I look forward to sharing our learning with you. Keep checking back to see what we are getting up to!

Rain Rain Go Away
Oh no there has been a 'flood' and we have been exploring how this may have happened! During this topic we will be learning about different types of weather and how to stay safe. We will learn about the different seasons and explore the water cycle through the story - Little Raindrop. We will also read lots of different weather stories and poems. We have set up a weather station in the roleplay area to help us get better at talking about different kinds of weather and the children all enjoy taking it in turns to be the weather forecaster. During Science Week (28th January) we will be learning about ocean pollution and carry out water cycle and rain investigations. On the Friday of that week we will get to dress up as scientists! At the end of our topic we will explore world weather and extremes of weather.
We look forward to sharing our learning with you via Tapestry. Please do come and speak to me if you are having any issues with access.
