Forest Schools

This week in forest school we have been exploring mud!  We used mud from a dug hole in the ground and modelled it to make creatures from the garden.  We also made mud faces and stuck them to tree bark.

This week in forest schools we have been exploring what happens in Autumn.  We made some fantastic leaf sticks and noticed that lots of the leaves that have fallen on the ground are different colours.  It's much colder now and we need to wrap up warm!

Forest school sessions

Each Reception class has a different Forest Schools session each week. Each week the classes will do a different focussed activity. The week before half term the children were searching for spiders and spider webs! They were also creating their own spider webs by wrapping wool around tree branches and fence panels. During each session the children may also get an opportunity to use the rope swing and rope bridge.
