We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and flexible practitioner to join our friendly, hardworking and highly skilled teaching assistant team.

Working under the direction of the class teacher and the SENDCo you will be providing 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, within small group and whole class sessions. Whilst your first priority will be the needs of this child you will mainly be based in the mainstream classroom and therefore you will also be expected to use your skills more generally to support the broad range of needs in the class.

You will have excellent verbal and written skills including English and Mathematics GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) and be able to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents. Previous experience successfully supporting children with additional needs or an Autitic Spectrum Disorder is desirable, although support and training can be offered.

To join our team it is vital that you share our belief in every child’s unique potential, working alongside your colleagues to ensure that every child is given the knowledge, self-worth and learning behaviours to enable them to experience success at this most important stage of their educational journey.

We hope you will want to join us and warmly encourage you to visit our amazing school.

We may have vacancies for volunteers.  If you think this could be you please complete and return the application form attached and send it to the School Office.  Our volunteers help with reading, particularly in Reception Classes and school trips.  These can be regular weekly placements or as and when you are available.  There is also a Job Description for your information.
