Monday

 

This week we are learning all about the continent, Asia. Use your map to see if you can spot it!

 

Asia is the largest continent on Earth. It is made up of 48 countries which include three of the countries we are going to find out about this week - China, Japan and India.

Today we are going to focus on the country, China. Click on the powerpoint link below to find out more. Then see if you can do some research to complete the fact file sheet.

Now let's find out about a traditional Chinese celebration - The Chinese New Year. Click on the powerpoint link below to see what it is all about and then have a go at making either a paper lantern or a Chinese dragon (you can choose from either of the dragon sheets below)!

Today we are going to learn about another Asian country - India. Click on the powerpoint link below to find out some information about India, then complete the fact file sheet.

Now we are going to learn about some traditional Indian celebrations and cultures - Diwali and Rangoli. Click on the powerpoint links below to find out more. Then have a go at making your own Rangoli hand design using the activity sheet template (or you could draw around your own hand on some paper, cut it out and decorate it).
